Ushakov: Putin and Pashinyan to discuss Armenia's European integration

Armenia's European orientation will be one of the topics discussed at a meeting between Russian President Vladimir Putin and Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan, scheduled for September 1 on the sidelines of the Shanghai Cooperation Organization summit in Bishkek, Kyrgyzstan, according to Report, citing Russian media.

"We continue to insist that Armenia cannot seek EU membership while simultaneously benefiting greatly from cooperation within the Eurasian Economic Union. This issue needs to be resolved somehow, and the president and prime minister will certainly discuss it," Russian presidential aide Yuri Ushakov said.
