US expects continued reciprocal visits by Azerbaijani, Armenian delegations

The United States expects reciprocal visits between Azerbaijani and Armenian representatives to continue as part of efforts to help establish lasting peace in the South Caucasus, Amy Carlon, the US Chargé d"Affaires in Azerbaijan, told Report;s correspondent in Karabakh.

Speaking during her visit to the region as part of the foreign diplomatic corps accredited in Azerbaijan, Carlon noted that such exchanges are not unusual, but rather part of the broader process of supporting long-term peace in the region.

"I already visited Yerevan a few weeks ago, and such exchanges are nothing unusual for us. They are part of our process to help establish durable peace in the South Caucasus. These were reciprocal visits we carried out," Carlon said.

She also highlighted that the US continues to develop cooperation with Azerbaijan in line with the Strategic Partnership Charter.

According to the diplomat, key areas include enhancing connectivity – notably through Trump Route for International Peace and Prosperity (TRIPP) – as well as economic investment and connectivity with a focus on artificial intelligence (AI) and data centers, along with defense and security cooperation.
