Armenian Foreign Minister Ararat Mirzoyan and US Secretary of State Antony Blinken signed the agreement on strategic partnership between the two countries during a meeting in Washington.
According to Report, the signing ceremony was broadcast on the State Department's YouTube channel.
Armenian media emphasize that the document was signed by Joe Biden's outgoing administration, which will step down on January 20. The question about the prospects for implementing the charter under President-elect Donald Trump remains open.
The intention to elevate the bilateral strategic dialogue between Yerevan and Washington to the level of strategic partnership was announced back in June 2024.
