Ukrainian tankers to start training on Challenger 2 tanks in UK

Ukrainian troops will shortly start their training on the Challenger 2 tanks in Britain, Vadym Prystaiko, the Ukrainian ambassador to the UK, said in the Radio Svoboda broadcast, Report informs.

"The crews are about to start their training in Britain. The heavy artillery systems crews are already training. Tankers will arrive soon as well," he said.

Prystaiko states that training will not take long since, as British instructors say, Ukrainian troops are highly motivated and learn very quickly.

On January 14, the British authorities officially confirmed that Ukraine will be supplied with Challenger 2 tanks. The UK Defence Secretary confirmed the supply of 14 tanks.
