Ukrainian MoD names reason for slow progress of counter-offensive operations

The main reason for the slow progress of Ukrainian troops at the front is the mined areas and strong fortifications built by the invaders, said Vadym Skibitsky, representative of the Main Intelligence Directorate of the Ukrainian Defense Ministry, Report informs.

He said that now the situation on the battlefield is serious: "But the initiative is in our hands. Everything is going according to plan. We respond appropriately to changes on the battlefield. Ukrainian military intelligence exposes the enemy's intentions. The other side is losing a lot."

According to Skibitsky, Russian troops have strengthened in the occupied territories of Ukraine, which also prevents their progress:

"Those who condemn us must understand that war is not a sports competition."

According to him, Ukraine needs more ammunition, including air defense systems, mine clearance equipment, and long-range weapons.

A representative of the Ministry of Defense said that Russia's large-scale aggression is aimed at quickly capturing all of Ukraine: "Our main task is to destroy the enemy's supply routes. Ukraine attacks. It will be successful."
