Ukrainian forces control 28 settlements in Kursk region

At a meeting with Russian President Vladimir Putin, the acting governor of the Kursk region, Alexey Smirnov, disclosed that Ukrainian forces now control 28 settlements in the region, home to approximately 2,000 civilians.
Report informs via Russian media that the fate of most of these individuals remains unknown.
Ukrainian troops penetrated 12 kilometers into Russian territory, occupying a strip 40 kilometers wide. The attack has claimed the lives of 12 people, with another 121 injured, including 10 children.
