Ukraine declares January 9 a day of mourning over UIA plane crash

Ukraine has declared January 9 a day of mourning in connection with the UIA plane crash near Tehran, Report says, citing the official website of the President's office.
President of Ukraine Vladimir Zelensky signed the corresponding decree, which mainly cancels entertainment and concert events, makes appropriate changes to the programs of TV and radio programs.
"To honor the memory of the victims, the President decided to lower the state flags of Ukraine on the houses and structures of state authorities, local self-government, state enterprises, institutions, and organizations," the message reads.
In connection with the UIA plane crash, the Ukrainian Embassy in Azerbaijan will open a book of condolences on January 9 and 10.
