Ukraine Air Forces: Russia fires 50 missiles into Ukraine

The Russian Armed Forces launched more than 50 missiles of various types into Ukraine over the past day, Yurii Ihnat, a spokesperson of the Air Force Command of the Ukrainian Armed Forces, said during a telethon, Report informs via UNIAN.

Ihnat noted that Ukrainian forces showed “pretty good results” at night by shooting down Russian missiles.

"There was an attack by 10 Tu-95 strategic bombers from the Caspian region. This time they fired 40 missiles. A powerful night attack. Then they attracted Tu-22M3 bombers. These bombers attacked from three directions: from the north, south and east. They fired 9 Kh-22 missiles," he said.

The spokesperson stressed that Ukrainian air defense had not yet shot down X-22 missiles, because they hit targets along a ballistic trajectory.

“Further on, the enemy used two Kalibr missiles and two more Shaheds,” he added.
