UK envoy highlights peace progress and urban development at WUF13

Progress toward peace between Azerbaijan and Armenia demonstrates how inclusive and sustainable development can help restore regional connectivity and ensure long-term stability, UK Ambassador to Azerbaijan Fergus Auld said at a ministerial roundtable during WUF13 in Baku, according to Report.
Auld noted that Azerbaijan's approach to smart cities and villages also shows how technology and planning can improve lives when they are people-centered.
"The United Kingdom is proud to support these efforts: leading British companies are involved in the design and development of urban environments in Azerbaijan," he said.
