Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan has held a phone call with Iraqi Prime Minister Ali Al Zaidi.
Report informs that the information was shared on the X account of the Communications Directorate of the Turkish Presidential Administration.
According to the statement, the phone call focused on Türkiye-Iraq bilateral relations, as well as regional and global issues.
Erdogan said Türkiye is interested in further developing relations with Iraq. He emphasized that there is significant potential for cooperation, particularly in energy, the defense industry and transport.
The Turkish leader invited Ali Zaidi to visit Türkiye for broad consultations.
