Some forces are interested in protracting the war in Ukraine, President of the Turkish Grand National Assembly Numan Kurtulmus said at the 14th Ambassadors' Conference held in Ankara, Report informs.
According to him, the grain deal is a manifestation of Türkiye's humanitarian position regarding the war in Ukraine.
He said that the war in Ukraine is not only a political issue: "It is necessary to think about the fate of people here. Therefore, Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan is trying to restore the Grain Deal by talking to his colleagues from Russia and Ukraine."
Kurtulmus said that Türkiye is trying to ensure peace in the region.
