As Mr. President Recep Tayyip Erdogan said, our wish is that the Joint Coordination Center for the transportation of Ukrainian grain contributes to peace, Turkish National Defense Minister Hulusi Akar said at a press conference held together with UN Secretary General Antonio Guterres, Report informs.
"So far, 656,349 tons of grain have been exported to the world market. We expect this number to increase. We believe that the activities of the Joint Coordination Center will contribute to the prevention of global food shortages. I would like to thank my Russian colleague Sergey Shoigu, my Ukrainian colleague Oleksii Reznikov and other competent persons who supported the grain export process. I wish the activity of the Joint Coordination Center to be a serious step on the way to peace," Akar said.
