Turkish media: Istanbul may host quadrilateral meeting to extend grain deal

Istanbul is still the hope for the grain corridor, Milliyet wrote, Report informs.

According to the newspaper, efforts to renew the grain deal continue: "Foreign Minister Hakan Fidan will go to Ukraine tomorrow and to Russia in September. One possible scenario is that Istanbul will host talks to meet Russia's demands.

"New discussions can be held in Istanbul with the participation of Russia and the UN. If the tripartite meeting with the participation of Russia, Türkiye and the UN achieves a result, quadrilateral discussions may take place with the participation of Ukraine. An exchange of views between Russia and the UN can be held to resolve the current problems."

The article emphasized that the US also supports Türkiye's efforts.
