Turkish Martyrs' Memorial in Baku visited on Türkiye's Victory Day

In Baku, the Turkish Martyrs' Memorial was visited on the occasion of August 30 - Victory Day in Türkiye.

According to Report, Türkiye's Ambassador to Azerbaijan Birol Akgün, embassy representatives, and several officials attended the ceremony.

A wreath was first laid at the memorial, followed by the national anthems of Azerbaijan and Türkiye.

In his speech, Ambassador Akgün spoke about Türkiye's War of Independence and honored the memory of martyrs who sacrificed their lives for the independence of both Azerbaijan and Türkiye. He emphasized that relations between the two countries will continue to develop steadily.

On August 30, 1922, the victory won at Dumlupınar under the command of Mustafa Kemal Atatürk is commemorated in Türkiye as Victory Day.
