Turkish foreign minister meets with Hamas acting chief in Qatar

The Turkish Ministry of Foreign Affairs has referred to Khaled Mashal as the acting head of the Hamas political bureau following the death of Ismail Haniyeh, according to Report, which cites Turkish media.

Foreign Minister Hakan Fidan met with Mashal in the Qatari capital, Doha, to express his condolences over Haniyeh's passing.

The meeting was also attended by two of Haniyeh's sons.
