Turkish defense minister pays official visit to Vietnam

Turkish Minister of National Defense Yasar Guler is on an official visit to Vietnam at the invitation of his Vietnamese counterpart, Phan Van Giang, the Turkish Ministry of National Defense said in a statement, Report informs.

Upon arrival in the capital Hanoi, Minister Guler was welcomed with a military ceremony. He later held a meeting with Vietnamese officials as part of bilateral delegation talks.

During the visit, Minister Guler was also received by Vietnamese President Vo Van Thuong. In the meeting, where bilateral relations were discussed, Guler conveyed greetings from Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan.
