An extraordinary meeting of the heads of the Union of Turkic Chambers of Commerce and Industry (TCCI) is being held in Astana.

According to Report's local bureau, Kazakhstan holds the chairmanship of the Union this year.

The meeting brings together the heads of chambers of commerce and industry from TCCI member countries, as well as representatives of state bodies, the Organization of Turkic States (OTS) and the Turkic Investment Fund.

Participants are discussing implementation of previously adopted decisions of the Union, as well as preparation of proposals for the upcoming summit of OTS heads of state.

The agenda also includes the institutional development of TCCI, formation of a common investment portfolio, and expansion of direct interaction among business representatives of Turkic countries.

Particular attention is being paid to the creation of a common e-commerce and export platform, as well as the introduction of digital tools aimed at simplifying contacts among entrepreneurs from member states.
