Tokayev tasks PM Bektenov with securing sustainable economic growth

President of Kazakhstan Kassym-Jomart Tokayev has instructed Prime Minister Olzhas Bektenov to ensure sustainable economic growth and enhance public administration efficiency, Report informs, citing a statement from Akorda.

"The President outlined the key tasks for the government for the upcoming period and gave specific instructions regarding the country's further socio-economic development. The head of state emphasized the need to secure sustainable economic growth rates, improve the efficiency of state administration, and consistently enhance the welfare of citizens," the statement reads.

In addition, Tokayev instructed the head of the Cabinet of Ministers to ensure coordinated work across all state bodies, strengthen executive discipline, and focus government activities on achieving concrete results.

The deputies of the Kurultai approved Bektenov for the position of Prime Minister today.
