Teen suspected of police attack during ongoing rallies in Tbilisi detained

An 18-year-old suspect has been detained for allegedly attacking police with a knife during ongoing rallies in Tbilisi, according to the Georgian Ministry of Internal Affairs (MIA), Report informs via local media.
The ministry announced that the suspect could face up to seven years in prison.
"The investigation has determined that the accused, armed with a knife, attacked an MIA employee with the intent to cause harm during a rally on Rustaveli Avenue on November 30, 2024," the ministry stated.
In total, seven individuals have been detained in connection with criminal cases related to the rallies.
