Tajikistan, EU mull developing cooperation in economy, transport, energy sectors

Tajikistan and the European Union discussed further cooperation in economic development, investment promotion, transport, energy, and the digital economy, Report informs referring to the Ministry of Economic Development and Trade of Tajikistan.
These issues were discussed at the sixth meeting of the Tajikistan-EU Subcommittee on Development in Dushanbe.
The meeting was co-chaired by Deputy Minister of Economic Development and Trade of Tajikistan Rukhshona Nasriddinzoda and EU Representative Charlotte Adriaen.
During the meeting, the parties discussed the implementation of Tajikistan's National Development Strategy 2030, the Medium-Term Development Program for 2026-2030, and the promotion of the European Global Gateway initiative.
Particular attention was paid to coordinating joint projects with national priorities, developing transport and energy infrastructure, the digital economy, water resource management, developing strategically important raw materials, developing human capital, and expanding regional cooperation.
In addition, the meeting participants reviewed the implementation of existing cooperation programs, exchanged views on current agenda issues, and reaffirmed their commitment to further strengthening their mutually beneficial partnership.
Following the meeting, the parties positively assessed the results of the talks and reaffirmed their commitment to continuing constructive dialogue, consistently implementing the agreements reached, and further developing cooperation between Tajikistan and the European Union.
