Speakers of GUAM member-states to hold conference in Tbilisi

Georgian capital, Tbilisi, is to play the host to a conference of the chairmen of parliament of the GUAM member-states, chairman of the GUAM Parliamentary Assembly delegation Giorgi Khelashvili said.

Report's local bureau informs that, according to Khelashvili, speakers from the Baltic States and Northern Scandinavia, members of the Visegrad Group, and the Benelux countries will be invited to the meeting: "We want to intensify inter-parliamentary relations not only within the GUAM PA but also in the regional format. With the conference in Tbilisi, Georgia will become a common forum for political discussions in Eastern Europe and the Caucasus.

Georgia will chair the GUAM PA in 2021.
