Sobyanin says 237 drones flew toward Moscow region overnight

A total of 237 unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs) flew toward the Moscow region from Monday evening through Tuesday morning, Moscow Mayor Sergey Sobyanin said, Report informs.
He noted that the drones were detected between 08:30 pm local time on August 10 and 08:30 am on August 11.
"During the period from 08:30 pm on August 10 to 08:30 am on August 11, 237 UAVs flew toward the Moscow region. Most of them were neutralized by air defense forces," Sobyanin said.
He added that 13 UAVs were shot down while approaching Moscow during the reported period.
There were no reports of casualties or damage, according to the authorities.
During the night, Vnukovo, Domodedovo and Zhukovsky airports continued to receive and dispatch flights as scheduled. All restrictions have now been lifted.
