Saint Petersburg declared CIS cultural capital

The Russian city of St. Petersburg was declared the cultural capital of the Commonwealth of Independent States (CIS), said Stanislav Moldovanov, Deputy Chair of the St. Petersburg Committee for Culture.
Report informs, citing TASS, that the presentation ceremony was held within the framework of the XV Forum of Creative and Scientific Intelligentsia of the CIS Member States held on December 12 in Tashkent.
