Saeed Khatibzadeh: Attack on Azerbaijani embassy in Iran was bitter incident

The attack on the Azerbaijani embassy in Iran was a bitter incident, according to Saeed Khatibzadeh, Iranian Deputy Foreign Minister and head of the Center for Political and International Studies at the ministry, Report informs.

Speaking to journalists before a meeting today at the Center for the Analysis of International Relations (AIR Center) in Baku, Khatibzadeh noted that extensive investigations and research have been conducted regarding the incident:

"This was a bitter incident for both nations. The two states and two peoples have brought their contacts closer to each other. The trial should be completed and execution carried out based on the verdict given. I am confident that justice will prevail in the end."
