Russian Foreign Ministry: Russia has treated and still treats Azerbaijan's territorial integrity with respect

Moscow has always treated and treats the territorial integrity of the Republic of Azerbaijan with respect, Russian Deputy Foreign Minister Andrey Rudenko said at a meeting with Ambassador of Azerbaijan to the Russian Federation Polad Bulbuloglu, Report informs referring to the Russian Ministry of Foreign Affairs.

At the meeting, the parties discussed the situation in the South Caucasus and the process of reconciliation between Baku and Yerevan.

Earlier, the Azerbaijani Foreign Ministry expressed bewilderment and regret in connection with the statements of the Russian Foreign Ministry on July 15.

"This statement of the Foreign Ministry of Russia contradicts the Declaration on Allied Interaction between the Republic of Azerbaijan and the Russian Federation and the statements of the President of the Russian Federation Vladimir Putin supporting the territorial integrity and sovereignty of Azerbaijan, including the Karabakh region," the Azerbaijani Foreign Ministry said.
