Vyacheslav Detishin, the head of the Simonovsky district court presiding over Alexei Navalny's trial, submitted his resignation, according to court spokeswoman Kristina Shvadchenko, Report informs, citing the RIA Novosti,
"Yes, the chairman has resigned. However, this is not related to Navalny, and the incident did not occur on February 2," she told the agency.
Judge of Navalny's court announced a two-hour break.
The Russian court sentenced opposition leader Alexei Navalny to 30 days in a Moscow prison over parole violations.
