Over the past day, medical experts recorded 18,233 new cases of coronavirus infection in Russia, Report informs referring to Russian media.
The total number of registered cases in the country since the pandemic onset has reached 10,537,966.
To date, a total of 310,518 people died due to COVID-related health complications in Russia, including 811 deaths seen over the past day. The number of recoveries is 9,524,039.
Currently, there are 703,409 active cases in the country.
More than 289.7 million people globally have contracted the virus since the onset of the pandemic. The deadly pathogen has claimed over 5.45 million lives, though unable to cope with 254.2 million patients, who managed to recover.
