Russia's COVID death toll nears 100,000

Russia recorded 8,792 new cases of coronavirus infection over the past day, Report informs referring to Russian media.
The total number of registered cases in the country since the pandemic onset has reached 4,563,056.
Currently, 277,172 Russians are undergoing treatment to beat the viral disease.
To date, a total of 99,633 people died due to COVID-related health complications in Russia, including 400 deaths seen over the past day. The number of recoveries is 4,186,251.
More than 130.3 million people globally have contracted the virus since the onset of the pandemic. The deadly pathogen has claimed over 2.84 million lives, though unable to cope with 104.9 million patients, who managed to recover.
