Russia confirms 16 COVID cases with omicron strain

The Omicron strain was confirmed in 16 out of 177 people who returned to Russia from South Africa, Russian Deputy Prime Minister Tatyana Golikova said, Report informs.
Golikova noted an overall increase in hospitalizations with severe COVID-19 in 24 regions of the country.
