Russia clarifies letters "Z" and "V" on military equipment

The Russian Defense Ministry has announced on Instagram the meaning of the letters "Z" and "V" on military equipment, Report informs.

Explaining the meaning of the letters in a descriptive form, the ministry said that "Z" means "За победу" ( "For Victory"), and "V" means "Сила V правде" ("Power is in the truth") or "Задача будет выполнена" ("The task will be done").

The letters "Z" and "V" are on the equipment of the Russian Armed Forces used in the occupation of Ukraine. These signs shared by the Russian Defense Ministry have led to various conspiracy theories.
