Rubio sees TRIPP project as important step toward peace and prosperity in South Caucasus

The Trump Route (TRIPP) project is aimed at ensuring peace and prosperity in the South Caucasus region.

Report informs, citing Armenian media, that US Secretary of State Marco Rubio said this at a press conference with Armenian Foreign Minister Ararat Mirzoyan in Yerevan.

"Today, together with the Armenian foreign minister, we initialed a bilateral agreement on the TRIPP project. This agreement is a step toward peace and prosperity in Armenia and the region," Rubio said.

According to the secretary of state, cooperation between Yerevan and Washington is not limited to the TRIPP project alone.

"We continue to develop our interaction in various areas, and advancing our relations not only within the framework of TRIPP but also in all other areas is a priority task for our administration. We also signed the Comprehensive Strategic Partnership Charter, which defines the framework of our bilateral relations," he added.
