Retired colonel convicted of FETO membership detained in Türkiye

A retired colonel whose prison sentence for membership in FETO had entered into force was detained in Türkiye's Kocaeli province, Report informs, citing TRT Haber.

According to TRT, during an operation to detain wanted persons, authorities determined that the retired colonel, who had been convicted of FETO membership and sentenced to six years and three months in prison, was in Gölcük district.

The convict detained during the operation was handed over to a penitentiary institution to serve his sentence after procedural measures at the police department were completed.
