The trade turnover between Russia and Armenia is on track to reach a record high in 2024, according to Russian President Vladimir Putin.
Report informs, citing Russian media, that during a meeting with Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan, Putin said in 2023, the trade turnover between Russia and Armenia reached $7.4 billion.
"In the first half of 2024, the figure increased 2.5-fold, surpassing $8.3 billion. If this pace continues, by the end of the year, the trade turnover will reach an unprecedented $14-16 billion. This is a record indicator," Putin said.
Putin noted that Russia is currently the leading investor in Armenia, with a total accumulated investment of $4 billion.
