Putin: Russia has always advocated for normalization between Baku and Yerevan

Russia has consistently supported the normalization of relations between Armenia and Azerbaijan, Russian President Vladimir Putin said during a phone conversation with Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan.

Report informs via Russian media that the Kremlin said Putin assured Baku and Yerevan that they could always count on Russia's assistance in the normalization process.

During the conversation, Pashinyan informed Putin about the completion of negotiations on the peace treaty between Armenia and Azerbaijan and Yerevan’s readiness to sign the document.

"In this regard, Vladimir Putin emphasized that Russia has always supported and continues to support the normalization of Armenian-Azerbaijani relations in the interests of security, stability, and sustainable socio-economic development in the South Caucasus region. Both Armenia and Azerbaijan can always rely on Russia's assistance in achieving these goals," the Kremlin stated.
