Putin: Main guarantee of Russia's sovereignty is improvement of nuclear triad

"We will maintain combat readiness and improve the nuclear triad - this is the main guarantee of Russia's sovereignty," Russian President Vladimir Putin said at a meeting of the country's Defense Ministry.

Putin noted that Russia will build up its military potential:

"The military potential and capabilities of NATO are actively used against Russia. We will continue to build up our military potential."

The President of the Russian Federation also announced that there are no cuts on the financing of the Armed Forces, the country gives the army "everything it asks for."
