Pezeshkian: Strait of Hormuz to open if US ends blockade

Iranian President Masoud Pezeshkian stated that if the US military halts its blockade of Iranian ports and ceases attacks on the Islamic Republic, Tehran will restore free passage for ships through the Strait of Hormuz, Report informs via ISNA.

"The strait will be opened on the condition that America abandons the blockade and aggression against Iran," Pezeshkian stressed.

He added that Washington has failed to achieve its goals through war and has therefore resorted to a blockade: "But we will not stop. The sea route is not our lifeline, and they should not think they can force us to surrender with such actions."
