Pashinyan: ‘We won’t announce change in policy until we decide to leave CSTO’

Armenia isn’t going to announce any change in policy until it decides to leave the CSTO, Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan said during government hour in parliament, Report informs.

“In a strategic sense, we are not going to announce a change in policy until we decide to leave the CSTO. Otherwise, a certain dissonance will arise,” he noted.

He added that the Armenian side decided not to participate in events under the auspices of the CSTO and the CIS for various reasons.

Pashinyan noted that Armenia is diversifying its security relations. Its partners, including for objective reasons, cannot supply Armenia with weapons, he added.

“We are looking for and finding these partners, concluding deals, trying to acquire weapons and military equipment,” he said.
