Pashinyan: Armenia was at a dead end until August 8 last year

Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan said the Washington summit of August 8, 2025, brought Armenia out of a dead end and opened up opportunities that should be seized.

According to Report, Pashinyan made the remarks in a message marking the first anniversary of the trilateral meeting of the leaders of Azerbaijan, Armenia and the United States in Washington.

At the same time, he stressed that the process of implementing the peace agenda has not yet been completed.

"Until August 8, 2025, our state was at a dead end, and after August 8, unlimited opportunities opened up before us. Whether we take advantage of them or not depends on our collective will," the prime minister said.

Pashinyan called the Trump Route for International Peace and Prosperity (TRIPP) one of the key outcomes of the Washington summit. According to him, the project will become one of the key elements of the economy of Armenia and the region.

"In the near future, we will begin the practical implementation of TRIPP, and this will become a major regional and international event," Pashinyan stressed.

The Armenian prime minister added that the chapter of conflict between the two countries has been closed and that peace has become part of the daily lives of citizens.
