Ozon logistics facilities hit in Krasnodar and Dagestan

Ozon logistics facilities in Russia's Krasnodar region and Dagestan came under attack overnight on August 24, with a major fire breaking out at one of the sites, the company's press service said on Telegram, Report informs.

Several people were injured during drone strikes in Makhachkala, according to Ozon. The company said its systems continued operating normally and employees were evacuated promptly.

Emergency services are working at the scene, while operations at the affected warehouses have been suspended.

Ozon said goods stored at the warehouses would be removed from its online listings and would no longer be available for order. Orders being delivered from the affected facilities will be canceled, with customers receiving refunds.

The company's facilities were targeted for the first time overnight on August 22 in Russia's Samara region.

The attacks follow strikes on Wildberries warehouses over the previous two months. In mid-August, Ukraine's Defense Ministry said that seven of Wildberries' 10 largest logistics hubs had been put out of operation by that time.

The latest incidents underscore the growing risks facing major e-commerce logistics networks amid the continuing war between Russia and Ukraine.
