Over 1.5 tons of cocaine found on ship from Ecuador to Russia

More than 1.5 tons of cocaine were seized at the port of St. Petersburg, Russia, from a ship arriving from Ecuador, according to the Federal Security Service of Russia, Report informs via local media.
The estimated value of the seized narcotic-one of the most widely trafficked drugs-exceeds 20 billion rubles (over $240 million). The cocaine was hidden inside a container loaded with bananas.
A criminal case has been opened in connection with the incident.
