Omuraliev: Kyrgyzstan to contribute to UN Security Council work

Secretary-General of the Organization of Turkic States (OTS), Kubanychbek Omuraliev, congratulated Kyrgyzstan on being elected a non-permanent member of the UN Security Council for 2027–2028, Report informs, citing OTS.

"I warmly welcome the election of the Kyrgyz Republic as a non-permanent member of the United Nations Security Council for the 2027–2028 term.

This remarkable achievement reflects the confidence of the international community in the Kyrgyz Republic's constructive engagement, responsible diplomacy, and steadfast commitment to the purposes and principles of the United Nations.

The Kyrgyz Republic has consistently promoted dialogue, cooperation, and multilateralism at both the regional and international levels.

I am confident that the Kyrgyz Republic will make a valuable contribution to the work of the Security Council and to international efforts aimed at maintaining peace, security, and cooperation worldwide.

I reaffirm my full support for the Kyrgyz Republic as it undertakes this important responsibility and wish it every success during its tenure on the Security Council," reads the statement by the OTS Secretary-General.
