Number of infections with omicron strain exceeds 690 in Russia

Russia has recorded 698 cases of infection with the omicron strain, Deputy Prime Minister Tatyana Golikova said, Report informs referring to RIA Novosti.

The number of confirmed cases of coronavirus infection in Russia has increased by 17,946 over the past day, to 10,702,150.

This is while 26,346 people have recovered (9,758,364 in total).

The number of deaths due to coronavirus has increased by 745 over the past day to 318,432.
