Another case of coronavirus infection has been confirmed in Georgia, said Amiran Gamkrelidze, director-general of the Georgian National Center for Disease Control and Public Health, according to the Georgian bureau of Report.

He said a Georgian citizen, who tested positive for the virus, had returned from Italy.

The head of the center noted that the citizen is in a more severe condition than other patients.

The three patients who tested positive for the novel coronavirus earlier remain in satisfactory condition.

Around 160 people remain in quarantine in Georgia at the moment.

Georgia confirmed its first coronavirus case on February 26. A Georgian national, in his 50s, tested positive for the disease after returning to the country from Iran via Azerbaijan on February 25. The patient's condition is satisfactory, Gamkrelidze said on February 28.
