Norwegian Air Shuttle ASA, a Norwegian low-cost airline trading as Norwegian, temporarily suspends flights over the Ukrainian airspace due to security reasons, Report informs via TV2.
"We made this decision considering an analysis of the security situation. And we decided not to fly over Ukraine temporarily," said Esben Tuman, a spokesperson for the company.
The Dutch airline KLM has suspended flights to Ukraine since Saturday, and also avoids the Ukrainian airspace. Ukrainian airline SkyUP reported on Sunday that its flight from Funchal, Portugal, was forced to land in Chisinau instead of Kyiv on Saturday, as the Irish firm that owns the aircraft announced a ban on entering Ukraine's aviation space.
