Norway's Ambassador to Tehran, Paal Bjørnestad, has been summoned to the Iranian Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Report informs via the Fars news agency.
The agency noted that the move was prompted by the use of Starlink satellite services within Iranian territory.
Iranian officials reportedly informed the ambassador that the United States and Israel had been using Starlink satellite internet in activities directed against Iran.
Bjørnestad was told that, as the country that registered the Starlink network with the International Telecommunication Union (ITU), Norway is obliged to prevent unauthorized transmissions of the system into Iranian territory.
"Iran has demanded that the Norwegian government take immediate and effective measures to stop activities that violate Iran's sovereignty and national security," the agency said.
