"Like all previous armed conflicts, Russia's war against Ukraine is likely to end at the negotiating table. The only question is when and under what circumstances," said NATO Secretary-General Jens Stoltenberg.
"Our goal is to help Ukraine achieve such a result in the negotiations on the battlefield, which create favourable conditions for the Kyiv side. In other words, we are talking about a choice: either we help Ukraine win the war, or we support the talks. The point is that Ukraine is strong enough to achieve acceptable conditions in the war for peace talks.
"NATO has two fundamental tasks in response to Russia's aggression. Providing support to Ukraine. And preventing the war from escalating," Stoltenberg added.
