Mirzoyan: Peace treaty does not specify territories of Armenia and Azerbaijan

The areas of the territories of Armenia and Azerbaijan are not specified in the text of the peace treaty, Armenian Foreign Minister Ararat Mirzoyan said at a meeting of the parliamentary commission on foreign relations, according to Report.

However, Mirzoyan said the treaty includes a provision on mutual recognition of territorial integrity.

"The parties mutually recognize each other's territorial integrity in the text of the peace treaty, but there is no mention of square kilometers," he said.

Mirzoyan believes that while there are certainly challenges, the only way to manage these risks is through negotiations and building peace. From this perspective, he is convinced that the treaty fully aligns with Armenia's interests.
