Minister: Türkiye receives over 1M tourists from Turkic states

Türkiye has received more than 1 million tourists from Turkic states in just the first five months of 2025, according to Turkish Minister of Culture and Tourism Mehmet Nuri Ersoy, Report informs.

Ersoy shared this insight during the 10th meeting of culture and tourism ministers of member and observer countries of the Organization of Turkic States (OTS), as well as relevant delegations in Ankara.

The minister emphasized that the Turkic world, formed around a common language, history, culture, and civilization concept, is becoming increasingly visible, influential, and integrated both regionally and globally, noting that the cooperation opportunities offered by the OTS are yielding more concrete results each day.

"I sincerely thank all our brotherly nations and valued colleagues for their strong interest in Türkiye," he emphasized.

Ersoy added that Türkiye has a rising performance in the tourism sector and received 56.7 million tourists last year:

"According to the May World Tourism Barometer 2025 published by the World Tourism Organization, Türkiye became the 4th most visited country in the world in 2024 with 56.7 million foreign visitors."
