Mikheil Saakashvili's hunger strike has reached a difficult stage. He hardly moves, and his legs are swollen, said Beka Basilaia, the lawyer of the former Georgian president, Report informs.
According to the lawyer who visited the former president in Rustavi Prison No. 12, although Saakashvili is strong, his hunger strike will worsen his health.
Basilaia noted that Saakashvili's personal physician Nikoloz Kipshidze should be allowed to visit him.
Mikheil Saakashvili was detained on October 1 in Tbilisi. He has been on hunger strike since then. The politician's personal doctor Nikoloz Kipshidze was not allowed to see him yesterday.
