Mikheil Saakashvili agrees to receive medical treatment

Former Georgian President Mikheil Saakashvili, imprisoned in Georgia, has agreed to receive medical treatment, Report informs, citing his recent letter.
Saakashvili said he would not take any food during his detention and was even ready to die.
“However, I want to keep my sanity and ability to work until the end. Therefore, I agree to receive medical intervention by doctors,” he added.
Saakashvili was detained on October 1 in Tbilisi. The politician, currently in Rustavi Prison No. 12, has been on a hunger strike for 20 days. Doctors who visited the former head of state yesterday recommended his hospitalizion.
